Overview of Our Production Process

Last Update 14 days ago

At Seamless Source, we follow a proven, six-step production process designed to help established and growing fashion brands bring high-quality products to market with speed, transparency, and reliability. Each stage is managed by a dedicated account manager and supported by our Product Relationship Management(PRM) platform for full visibility.

1️⃣ Feasibility & Proposal

We begin with a discovery conversation to understand your project and assess feasibility.

  • We evaluate your requirements, quantities, and target pricing.

  • If feasible, we send a detailed proposal with MOQs, pricing, and timelines.

  • If not feasible as requested, we provide optimised alternatives (e.g., higher MOQ, material adjustment).

2️⃣ Design & Tech Pack Development

If you don’t already have full technical documentation, we can assist with:

  • Tech pack creation
  • Measurement charts
  • Construction details
This step ensures clarity before sampling and production begin.

3️⃣ Fabric & Material Finalisation

We help you source or replicate fabrics based on your vision.

  • You can send reference samples (for fabric feel, fit, or design).

  • We match or closely replicate fabrics (90–100% match depending on availability).

  • For seamless products, we work from the yarn level and send yarn specs instead of fabric swatches.

4️⃣ Sample Development

We typically follow a two-round sampling process:

  • Concept Sample: To visualise the design, construction, and overall fit
  • Fit Sample: After revisions, this version finalises the product before bulk production
For some repeat or simple styles, we may begin preparing bulk materials while the second sample is in progress.

5️⃣ Bulk Production

Once your sample is approved, we begin production with rigorous quality management built in:

  1. First-Out Inspection: The first 10 garments are inspected. Production only continues if all meet our quality standards.

  2. Inline Inspection: Conducted during production to ensure each line is operating correctly and issues are caught early.

  3. Final Inspection (AQL Standard): We offer inspections based on an international standard called AQL 1.5 or 2.5, depending on your preference. A full inspection report is shared for your review.

If issues arise, we correct and rework production before proceeding to shipment.

6️⃣ Packing & Delivery

Once approved:

  • Your products are carefully packed and shipped.

  • You can use your own freight forwarder, or we can handle shipping end-to-end.

  • Split deliveries to multiple destinations (e.g., different countries) are available.

  • Shipping options include air freight for smaller orders and sea freight for bulk orders.
