At Seamless Source, transparency and sustainability are more than just buzzwords. They’re built into every product we help manufacture. Our Digital Product Passport (DPP) gives brands and customers a powerful tool to view the full lifecycle of a fashion product: from raw materials to resale, and every step in between.

🔍 What Is a Digital Product Passport?

A Digital Product Passport is a structured digital record that captures a product’s full journey:

From raw material → manufacturing → delivery → aftercare → end-of-life solutions

It helps brands:

  • Comply with upcoming regulations (like ESPR)
  • Build trust through supply chain transparency
  • Support circularity with post-purchase pathways (repair, resale, recycle)

Each DPP is shared via QR code or NFC tag, designed to be easily accessed by both internal teams and end customers.
🇪🇺 ESPR Compliance: What It Means & Why It Matters
The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) is a European Union initiative that will require fashion and textile products to include a Digital Product Passport starting from 2026 onwards. It’s part of the EU’s Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan.

Key ESPR Requirements:
  • Full traceability of materials, production, and supply chain
  • Transparency around product durability, recyclability and repairability
  • Component-level breakdowns (labels, trims, threads, etc.)
  • Environmental impact metrics (LCA: CO₂, water, energy)
  • Data accessibility for consumers, recyclers, and authorities
❗ Timeline:

The ESPR is in the final stages of EU legislation (as of 2024).Digital Product Passports will be mandatory for textiles starting from 2026, with gradual rollouts by product category.

Why act now?

  • Future-proof your brand by starting early
  • Avoid compliance risks and penalties in the EU market
  • Lead with transparency, build stronger trust with your customers

💡 At Seamless Source, all DPPs are designed to meet current ESPR guidelines and can be updated as new compliance rules are published.
